Its now 3 weeks and a few days since I’ve been off work. It’s starting to feel more normal now. I do look forward to the day we get to go back to work!
I had some fabulous chats with friends through video and we also chatted with the little ones on Sunday to see what they got for Easter! Oh I miss them so much! I almost teared up seeing them when we dropped off their gifts on Saturday. And don’t worry we talked to them from the balcony.
Last Monday I started an elimination diet to help with my inflammation problem I have in my body. I will write a blog post about this later. But my inflammation in my body is high and I didn’t know what else to do to get it down. I am already gluten free but that isn’t helping much, so I did some research. Food is one of the cause of inflammation in the body. I was listening to a GOOP podcast with Dr Will Cole. He was talking about his book The Inflammation Spectrum.
In Dr. Will Cole’s game-changing new book The Inflammation Spectrum, readers will discover how inflammation is at the core of most common health woes and exists on a continuum: from mild symptoms such as weight gain and fatigue on one end, to hormone imbalance and autoimmune conditions on the other. How you feel is constantly and dynamically being influenced by every meal. Every food you eat is either feeding inflammation or fighting it. Because no one else is you, the foods that work well for someone else may not be right for your body. At heart, The Inflammation Spectrum is about learning to love your body enough to nourish it with delicious, healing foods. Its insightful quizzes and empowering advice will put you on a path toward food freedom and overall healing.
I do believe food is a trigger for me so I am taking this time off work to figure out my body and trying to get healthier. So I started this elimination diet from the book and now I am on Day 9. I am starting to feel better and I today I started walking. It’s never too late to get your health in check! I will do another post about my health and go into detail about this elimination diet.
Last week wasn’t too bad! I enjoy video chatting with my small group every Monday and my SALSA chats every week as well. Also It was Easter this past weekend. It was different this year, that’s for sure! Our church did a Good Friday service on Friday and we did an Easter service on Sunday. I am thankful we can still meet even though it is over the internet! Again I am thankful for technology!
That’s all for this week! Stay tuned for Week 4!
Stay safe and…
