Pay Off Debt Faster

debt

Well, so I have some news for you. I am taking on a second job – part time. This is going to help me become debt free faster. I could be working from anywhere’s between 3-20 hours a week on top of the 40 hours I already work. If I work up to an extra 20 hours a week I could have an extra $600-$800 a month to put towards debt. Every bit helps right? I will be working at a job I know all too well, McDonald’s. I worked at McDonald’s for 9 years, from 2001-2010. I picked McD’s because it’s the best option for working around my current schedule.

From what I am already paying towards debt, I will take the extra income and put it directly on my debt. So I won’t see any of it. This will help me get my debt paid off by the end of the year. That’s my plan anyway. I am hoping to have it all paid by then, as well as have an emergency fund saved and have Christmas all paid for. By the end of the year, the only debt I will have is my car. I’d love to have the paid off as well but that will have to wait.

My plan is to work at least until December 2018, and if I’m my body isn’t tired, I may stay on longer so help save money for a few things I need/want. I’d like a new camera, as mine is broken, a new computer, so I can edit photos, and buy some furniture for when I move out, and lastly I want to save up money for a trip to NYC.

I have so many plans, let’s hope some of them come true!
