Learning to Budget- #everydollar

Everydollar is a free budgeting app. You can use it on your phone or on the computer. It’s a way to help you control your finances and put your money where it can be best used. I am excited to give this a go and keep track of where I am spending my money. I haven’t been good with my money, like ever, but I am trying to create good money habits so I can stay out of debt. Which is what I am trying to do, get out of debt.

Here are easy steps.

  1. Enter your budget (monthly income) – I am entering a rough estimate of my 2 paychecks a month, as it can vary paycheck to paycheck.
  2. Enter your expenses – it has many options of where you put your money; giving, savings, housing, transportation, food, lifestyle, insurance/tax, and debt.
  3. The enter every time a bill comes out or you have spent money (it’s good to keep receipts). It’s really quite easy. It will give you a total of what you’ve spent and then give you how much money is remaining from your budget.

I am still new to this but if you have any questions or want help setting up the app, let me know and I’d be happy to help.

Lets get out of debt and learn to manage our money! Join me in this journey.
