My Journey to Financial Freedom

I hope you will join me in my journey to becoming debt free. I am working very hard to have financial freedom.

My plan to pay off $6200 in less than a year. Money might get tight but I think it’s worth it in the long run because I will have so much freedom. I won’t have to stress about whether or not I will have money. It will be easier to save money for special occasions or things I need. I am so looking forward to this journey!

So my first step was to write down everything I owe and then prioritize them from lowest amount first to largest. I need it written down so I can keep track and keep accountable.

My first one is my iPad. I pay for my iPad every month on my cell phone bill, as I bought it through bell. Which this will be paid off next week. YAY! Second is my RBC Student Loan. Which I have been trying to pay off for 10 years now. I now only have a small amount left so I am going to pay this off. My goal is to have this paid off by the end of March. If not sooner. Then I will save up money to pay my car insurance, so I can pay that off for the year, like I do every year. I find it easier doing that, that way I don’t have to worry about it until the next year. Thirdly, my personal loan will be paid off in June. YES! And lastly, is my National Student Loan, which again I don’t owe much, so I plan on having this paid off by next September, if not before.

Once that last one is paid off I will be debt free… well except my car, but I think I’ll always owe on that ๐Ÿ™‚ At the end of all this, I want to save up some money for a few things I need. Like a new camera and laptop but I really want to save up for a trip. My plan is to go to New York in November for American Thanksgiving. I want to experience the parade, see Rockefeller Center and do a little Christmas shopping. SOOO I need to get my debt in order so I can take this trip! It’s always good to have something to look forward to.

A brand new start at life, having financial freedom will feel so good. I can then move out of my parents place and finally have my own space so I can make a place my home.

Join me in becoming debt free and we can do this together.
