I arrived in Winnipeg on Sunday, August 29, 2010 and my friend awaited my arrival at the airport and I stayed with her until Wednesday, September 1, 2010 so we could hang out together. We had gone to university together and hadn’t seen each other in a long time. She had just moved to Winnipeg only a few months before I did. She gladly showed me around.
The first night we went to this restaurant called Baked Expectations. It was delicious. I has delicious food and the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. I would love to go back there.
We went to the Manitoba Legislative Building and had a free tour and then headed over to The Forks, where there was a market/shopping and a tourist building. In my time in Winnipeg I went to the Forks many times.
I can’t wait to go back to Winnipeg and explore more. I’m sure there are lots of places I never went to while I was there.
Wednesday, September 1, 2010, I moved into the house with the other 3 interns. i loved the house. Lots of character. My bedroom was the master, I had a huge bed and a sweet closet! I was lucky to get this room.
This house was rented as the family who owns the house went off to Europe for a year. So it worked out great to get this place for a year. PS I would love to go to Europe for a year.
