Vacation Part 3- Fortress of Louisburg

Such a fabulous time we had at the Fortress of Louisburg. It was extremely foggy but made for the perfect day. It wasn’t super hot nor cold. It was just right. I’ve been to the Fortress before when I was in grade 8 which would have been 17 years ago. Hard to believe it was that long ago. It’s still a great place to visit when you’re in Cape Breton. I highly recommend checking it out.

After a great day at the Fortress we headed back to the hotel and hung around for a bit, so we could relax. Then we walked over to the restaurant that was next to our hotel and had a delicious supper. The place was called Kiju’s, it felt very classy. And it’s a gorgeous restaurant. After supper we drove to the boardwalk by the water and enjoyed the quiet. Then we headed back to the hotel for an evening in. Very relaxing after a busy day.

The next day we headed off to the Cabot Trail!
